Although Maria has always had a good relationship with her parents, her father’s new alcoholism problem and her mother’s lack of time have led her to keep secret what the members of this group are making her go through.

A drug dealer uses his niece, Nelly, to distribute drugs as candy in her school. Another girl, Esther Marie, has dreams in which her school’s director tells her the truth about the “candy” she and her friends consume. To all this, Tiara, Esther Marie’s friend, falls ill due to an overdose.

PREVENTION Project (Proyecto: PREVENCIÓN) is part of the Prevention Series (Serie: Prevención), a series of 3 educational projects focusing on subjects such as drug prevention, bullying prevention and sexual prevention. PREVENTION tackles subjects such as physical school bullying, sexual bullying and illegal drugs sales at elementary schools. It also teaches lessons on machismo and divorce management.

Cine C.A.R.E.T.A.S. Inc. presents a series of three educational films that leave a mark on young peoples hearts’ and in the schools of Puerto Rico. Using the slogan “Prevention is better than the cure”, our Prevention Series takes on different themes towards this end; themes such as: family issues management, prevention and consequences of different forms of bullying, peer pressure, addictions and the devastating consequences of drug abuse and distribution.

Project: VALUES

Eight shorts, four in English and four in Spanish give life to Project: VALUES. Through genders such as drama, comedy, tragedy and fantasy, characters live experiences that show the need of good moral values in our daily lives. Beyond the values, these shorts tackle subjects such as dengue prevention, stray bullets, social disobedience, disrespect to the elderly, psychological and physical bullying, the bad business of drug dealing and in-school terror.

Fiesta navideña

A group of students and their homeroom teacher, Mr. Pérez, plan a Christmas party at the teacher’s home. There will be a gift exchange in this party but one student, Pedro, doesn’t want to participate. Pedro insists he hates Christmas. Sr. Pérez (René Monclova) unexpectedly tells his students a personal story about his only daughter that’ll make his students reflect.

Two girls, Leslie and Bernice, get in a fight for a guy’s love. The school’s director calls their mothers in to take control of the situation and discovers the mothers show the same negative attitudes as their daughters. To this, Amanda, a friend of both Bernice and Leslie, attempts to resolve their situation, but only manages to get Bernice and Leslie to use her as a spy against the other.
